The current 101 sponsorship bodies preserve the original collection. The 12 nearby systems match NASA's confirmed planet lists and stellar multiplicity counts. The Solar System's moons, asteroids and comets need a much larger catalog expansion. This audit does not activate new listings or assign prices.

The 13 mapped systems

The Solar System includes the Sun, all eight planets, five dwarf planets and 31 selected moons. For the other 12 systems, planet names were compared against NASA's PSCompPars table, not just headline counts. Companion hosts Alpha Centauri A/B and LTT 1445 B/C were included in the query. Stellar counts match the archive; that is not an independent census of every possible faint companion. No confirmed exomoons are added; candidates are excluded.

The planetary satellite table accounts for 434 missing moons. JPL's small-body satellite data adds 486 missing confirmed satellites. Its 495 confirmed records include five Pluto moons already counted above; those overlaps are removed from the combined 951 total. The other four represented small-body moons belong to Haumea, Eris and Makemake. The 36 records marked unconfirmed are excluded.

These are database counts retrieved for this audit, not a fully downloaded or reconciled list of missing purchasable objects. The current collection has five dwarf planets and no general asteroid/comet inventory. SBDB categories overlap those dwarf planets, and identifiers, aliases, fragments and repeated comet appearances must be reconciled before listings are created.

How to make the collection inclusive

  1. Import stable source identifiers and parent relationships into a searchable, paginated catalog; deduplicate the overlap between planets, dwarf planets, satellites and small bodies.
  2. Expand the confirmed moon collection first using the two missing-object files. Every new sponsorship record needs an explicit opening-price policy and a unique ledger identity.
  3. Keep the full asteroid/comet inventory in the catalog and load selected objects into the explorer on demand. Drawing over a million meshes at once would overwhelm ordinary computers.
  4. Refresh from authoritative snapshots, record changes, and separate candidates from confirmed objects. Keep fictional deep-space scenery outside the scientific and sponsorship inventories.
